Tandem

A tandem jump is a jump that anybody can try (if you are under 18 you need parents signature) you will be safely attached to the instructor and you will jump from an altitude of 4000 meters just after 10 minutes of lesson. You will try the fabulous sensation of free fall, of piloting a parachute, and gently landing on soft grass.

Who can do a tandem jump?

Everybody! You don’t need a medical check-out, neither any specific physical conditions. If you aren’t 18 years old you will need parents’ authorisation.

What should I wear?

You just have to wear something comfortable and a pair of trainers, we will provide you a suit , a helmet and a pair of goggles.

What type of training does a tandem jump need?

You will receive a 15/20 minutes training ,in which you will learn the positions ,how to get on the aircraft, which position to have on the exit of the aircraft, during free fall and landing.

And what happens during free fall?

During free fall you will feel the high speed and you will be able to enjoy the view and greet the video man who will be at short distance from you ,in order to record you.

At what height will the parachute open?

The parachute will open at 1500 meters, if the passenger wishes to try piloting the parachute he can as it has double controls.

When can I have my video?

Immediately after landing.

And if after my tandem I would like to do the course?

No problem the school is there for you!

Corso AFF

AFF Accelerated Free Fall course. The AFF is the most modern and complete course of skydive, it will make you a safe skydiver in a very short time.

Length

The year depending on weather conditions. The course consists in a full day of preparation in order to prepare you for your first jump on the following day. The course can be held in any period of the year depending on weather conditions.

course techniques

The course is structured in 7” step by step” levels ,where for the first three jumps you will be assisted by two instructors. The two instructors will jump with you holding you firmly from the exit of the aircraft until the opening of your parachute. During your descent you will be assisted with a radio until landing. After passing the three first levels you will be assisted by only one instructor until the seventh level. By the end of the course you will have all the required techniques to be able to jump alone, which with a traditional course it would have taken you much longer.

Physical requirements.

There aren’t any specific physical requirements, all you need to participate to a skydive course is an agonistic medical certificate for skydiving that can be released by any medical sport centre or by a F.I.M.S. doctor.

Is skydiving a safe sport?

Yes, it is! even more than what you can think. All parachutes have an emergency rig, and all tandem and school parachutes must have by law an automatic system that will automatically open the parachute in case of any problems during opening or any thing wrong with the skydiver. The accident are statistically much lower compared to other traditional sports (cycling, rock climbing, box ect). Remember that your parachute will open because of physical laws: the mistakes are almost all humans. A good instruction and a good consciousness and a normal dose of good sense make this wonderful sport the most safe.

What’s the minimum age to become a skydiver?

Both for the tandem jump and for the course you need to be 16 and have the parents authorisation. Do I need a medical certificate? In order to do a course ( traditional Or accelerated) you must have a proper medical certificate to jump with a parachute. You can have it from a FMSI (Italian sports medical federation) or go to a military hospital. The visit will only certify that there aren’t any serious neurological orthopaedic and heart illnesses. For the tandem jump no certificate is required .A good physical preparation can help but it isn’t necessary.

If I suffer dizziness will I be scared to jump?

No ,as the vision from the height won’t disturb as much as the one fro a balcony.

Is there a problem if I wear glasses or contact lenses?

No. you will be given special goggles that will cover your glasses.

Is there a problem in breathing during free fall?

No. you will breath normally.

How many jumps can be done in a day ?

A student can so 3/4 jumps , an expert 10/12.

Can you jump in winter?

Yes . the aircraft have heating systems and the free fall doesn’t cool the human body that much.

If I’m not able to jump out of the aircraft, will I be pushed?

No! never. If you should refuse jumping , the instructors will help you psychologically to overtake your fears. If this won’t help you’ll be taken back on the ground and you will try later without any problems.

Is the landing with the parachute soft?

Yes both for the tandem and the normal parachute.

Can you be recorded during the jump?

Yes, both for the tandem and the AFF course. In both situations there will be a video man that will jump with you and record you during the jump.Once landed you will be given a DVD . For the tandem it’s a souvenir but for the course is part of the valuating system.

How many jumps are included in AFF course?

The jumps included in an AFF are 7, and also the levels that you must pass are 7. Each level that you won’t pass, you will have to pay it each time.

How much are the repetition jumps?

Each repetition jump from level 1 to 3 (with 2 instructors) cost €. 140,00 and from level 4 to 7 ( with 1 instructor) costs €. 90,00

After finishing the AFF course do I have to buy a parachute?

Only if you want, otherwise you can use the school’s parachutes .Also the suit ,the helmet, the altimeter, the goggles, etc. A new parachute cost around 6.000 Euro. You can also buy a second hand on starting form 2,000 euro. The jumps instead will cost you € 25,00 each , plus €. 10,00 for rent and €. 5,00 for repacking.

How many jumps do I have to do in order to get the skydiving license?

The Italian minister of transport releases the licence. In our case we must pass a theory exam and we must have at least 50 jumps. We would like to underline the fact that this is only a bureaucratic situation as a skydiver can automatically jump in any airfield. For the AFF course , you can jump immediately after the 7th jump.

Documents needed in order to start the course:

- medical certificate
- insurance
- 3 photoes
